Hey, I have a lot of tiny holes and patches where the canopy of my kite is worn down. How could I make sure that this does not get any worse? Have been wanting to get some sail material and reinforce the whole front of the canopy, could this work?

Thanks!

I would recommend an epoxy and fibreglass repair, just make sure you don't use polyester resin as this will damage your valuable toy.

ITS NOT WORTH THE EFFORT AND EXPENSE.

I SAW SOME REALLY NICE KITES IN ALDI TODAY FOR 5 BUCKS.

I REALLY LIKED THE BOX KITE

The only way to solve this problem is to trade your kite in for a windsurf rig

You could get some light weight sail tape, like they use on spinnaker repairs.
I would be very cautions of going out with a patchwork kite but.
Time to save the pennies for a new one.

Poor kiter, they're just messin with ya. It's all in fun. We're all a good group here. Not sure if ya ment to post here or you thought you had the kite forum. Try some spinnaker tape like was already mentioned. It should do the trick.

Once you mastered kiting, you should try windsurfing. It's so much more challenging and rewarding, that is if you're up for the challenge.

I don't think it matters what's your watersports favour just as long as you can enjoy it. I love skiing but my mates love snow boarding,no problem long as you can enjoy it.JUST LOVING IT is my moto!

I would darn it. My grandma used to use needle and thread and do a real nice crossed woven thingamajiggy over holes in cloth and stuff.
Give that a go.
Maybe empty your bladder first, cos it is a long job so she always did.

Or, go back to windsurfing where sails don't wear out from being dragged across the sand 4 times.

That's where the old saying "darn it!" came from, unexpected holes showing up in things like socks and kites.

As laudable as this sounds, windsurfing - kiting on the same water and skiing - snowboarding on the same slopes have the same uneasy coexistence. They are better off segregated for the enjoyment of all

Didn't they try Apartkite in South Africa? Don't think it worked well.
