Just had my sail repaired and the repairer removed all the batterns to replace a panel.

Should I put all the batterns in under light tension then tension from

the top down
or
Bottom up

or all with equal tensions and then do a final tune?

equal tension. depending on how many battens you got, you may need to get anywhere from 4 to 8 mates to help you to tension all of them up at the same time.

music with an simple beat may help you coordinate the tensioning process.

Yes insert with a light tension then rig up. Tighten in any order you want, it doesn't matter.

As to final tension - it is like taking a quarter of a viagra - just enough to get the wrinkles out of it.

nip em up then start from the top, with the top battens only tighten to the wrinkle disapper and then the bottom battens need a little more, then saaweeeettt
