I like the idea, but if made bigger for windsurfing, I could see them being eel grass catchers around the base.
I doubt applicable to us, bit like the curved inside foil of surf fins is no good for the faster use on kiteboards (so they go flat foil)
Once you have the power you don't need the tricks to generate speed
Could also be spin-out inducing in our application, the idea of a low pressure area at the base is a bit of a red light
very very interesting and clever development if it works like they say
