Hi All, I am after some advice I have read on here some positive reviews on the quatro super minis but I am struggling with my new 2019 one after loving my 2016 model. Has anyone else gone from the 2016 to 19 and struggled ? I seem to spin out constantly, I am gutted as I loved my old one.

I have done my best to match strap and fin position on both boards.

I also went from the old wide square tail to the newer narrower diamond tail. The foot straps are much further back on the newer version, maybe move your fin back in the box? Or your foot straps forward?

I tried the straps further forward and the nose seemed to dig in. I will try moving the fin. How are you finding the new one, compared to old model?

That's weird. I've been sailing one all winter and haven't noticed this at all. I've got a 94l model with the standard 20 cm centre fin placed as far forward as possible to loosen it up as much as I can. I'm also running the mast position fully forward to flatten the board because at 94 kg it tends to tilt towards the tail. I found that moving the mast position had the biggest effect on this board (and my other more wavy Quatro and Goya's), so maybe give that a try. Cheers Jens

Try moving your rear harness line rearwards an inch to reduce the pressure in your back hand. you may require the front to come back a little too. By taking the pressure out of your back hand your drive more off the front foot and will spin out less. but play with your fin positing a little too. just remember 1 change at a time

I will try moving my lines back as someone at the beach has also said that.

I was starting to think the board was a pig, but ever quatro board I have had has been magic

Spinout is generally a fin problem.
Next is match between setup and rider style.
Change style or change fin?
