After seeing Mr. Loves new board design its got me thinking.

Is it possibly to refresh a board with a new paint scheme?

I really like the French board designer (Tiaki) below – like the street art angle to it:

(Yes it’s been ages since I have seen the water – perhaps we need to invent a psychological condition for windsurfers who think crazy stuff up when they are “water-dry”)

I think it's a great idea, and some thicker footpads make the ride sooo much smoother.

We already have a condition. It's called "The Doldrums"
Colloquially, the "doldrums" are a state of inactivity, mild depression, listlessness or stagnation.[1]

The Tiaki design is fantastic.....this Angulo just gives me a sense of nostalgia for the era when crazy Hookipa shapes were the ultimate must have.

It's been done - a well known windsurfing psychologist (AKA Hardie) defined the condition some years ago:

Wind deficiency syndrome:

An affliction known to cause mood changes, bouts of extreme boredom, impulsive behaviours such as buying windsurfing equipment which won't be used, excessive internet use, negative thinking, weight gain, lethargy, daydreaming, and the occasional bout of interpersonal conflict.

Hardie is currently off the water for an extended period with a seriously broken leg, so he's bound to be suffering badly from wind(surfing) deficiency syndrome right now!

...well, the situation when there's no wind could possible be referred to as...." Delirium Ventostasis". A nasty condition. No ointment's gonna fix that!
Symptoms include gybing round the house , displaying an unnatural interest in the top of trees, reorganising one's gear endlessly (guaranteeing that things get left in the garage/shed when it does blow) and being generally (more) difficult to live with.

Bring it on.
