Mucksy,

Yeah dude, i realise that these places have tons of gear, but... ill be working for Club Vass which still have heaps of gear, but the clients have priority to it, for example if there are 3 freestyle board and 2 clients take out 2 of them, i am unable to take the last one, as this is left for the guests.

For this reason, ill be taking my own gear.

Also, after the season 'finishes' i would like to head over to Jeri and having gear would be a huge help.

Cheers anyway dude.

Whats the best way to pack my gear? Board first? Sails First?
What are some precautions i should take?

1) Make sure everything you pack is dry!!! wet foot straps, sails, etc. can add a lot of weight.

2) Board goes on the bottom with deck facing up.

3) Sails next... To begin with leave the sails in their bags. If you find the whole package is too heavy loose the sail bags.

4) Boom and mast on top. With the boom wrap the front end and back into a towel or with a wet suit/ rashy.

5) If your board bag has a strap inside use it to prevent everything from sliding around.

6) Take one of those all purpose UV curing Ding repairs such as Solarez or Quick Fix. They are about $20. This will allow to quickly fix small puncture wholes typical of what can happen in transit.
