Hi All,
I have tried a search & didn't find much re
I am heading to New Caledonia in 8 days was wondering if anyone knows of a travel insurance provider whom covers windsurfing gear for over seas holidays (theft damage in transit), or is it simply a case of self insuring this? (I just want to insure the gear which is less than 12 months old)
Thanks
Geoff
If you find one let everyone know... travel insurance is notoriously bad value here in Australia. I find that often it read as if they pay for a certain item but when you read the terms and conditions the list of exemptions is a mile long.

Save your bucks and self insure.Never had an issue.Stuffs impossible to lose and you can repair a lot of dings for the premium cost.
Hi everyone, I tried about 15 travel insurance companies & the only water sport equipment they cover are surfboards (& only then if they are less than 12 months old), going self insure for this & future trips
update : aircalin pilots are on strike, check your flight !!!
Better get their **** (S-H-I-T) sorted out before November! ![]()
Thanks Sean,
On the way out luckily the flight is operated by Qantas!
happy to be delayed coming back though ![]()
Are Aircalin pilots still on strike? I only know that you can insure your surfboard, don't know about anything else.
I was wandering what you guys can tell me about the weather conditions in NC in January? Is it worth the visit?
I have arranged a trip to Noumea ( with these guys https://www.newcaledoniatravel.com.au/islands/noumea/show/all) in January and wanted to hear some first hand experiences.
