July – 8 races sailed in winds 5-20 knots at OAMPS Mid Winter Australian Youth Championships, Manly

September – 10 races sailed in winds 5-20 knots at O’Reilly’s Real Estate State Youth Championships, Yeppoon

October – to date 4 races sailed in winds 5-20 knots at RQYS club races, Manly

Every other weekend since mid July, training has been conducted for youth windsurfers at RQYS on Saturday afternoon, Manly.

I the last 2 seasons racing & training on the Techno 293 there have been no torn sails, no broken battens, no broken booms, no broken masts – just affordable windsurfing racing with training from some of Australia’s best Olympic coaches and the current Australian Formula Champion..

The results Qld has achieved in the first season:

Luke Baillie – 2009 Australian Youth (Men) Champion BIC TECHNO 293
Joanna Sterling - 2009 Australian Youth (Women) Champion BIC TECHNO 293

Joanna & Luke represented Australia at the Volvo ISAF Youth Championships at Buzios in Brazil in July 2009, completing in the RSX Olympic Sailboard class.

Currently Luke, Reece & Joanna are members of Yachting Qld 2009 State Squad for BIC Techno 293 & RSX.
