O/T: Emergency repair product for plastic kayak

Hi all,
In my kayaking dry bag, I'd like to have something that I could use to stem a leak in the bottom of my plastic kayak (sit-on-top) if I were to run over some oysters. I've run over some oysters in the past without sinking, but I'm thinking maybe some waterproof tape, or a tube of something could be handy to have so I could get myself home ok. Anyone have product suggestions? Thanks in advance.

If it is PE then you realy can't glue it but you can weld it.

If you have a heat gun whih goes hot enough or you can se a soldering iron, you can use an old milk bottle as a filler material as it is also HDPE

Nothing will stick if its thermoplastic
Really gummy silver tape would be best as long as u can dry it well first

There are some really gummy cloth tapes that stick to wet surfaces. $25 a roll. Gorilla tape. It's good for temporarily fixing salty wet monofilm or board holes.
The problem with polyethylene, nothing wants to stick to it. That's what super glue bottles and lids are made of. I think there is nothing that will fix a sliced through plastic canoe quickly. It's a good tricky question. I could imagine a kind of gooey tacky tar kind of stuff smeared on the outside with a cloth patch , ( t shirt material ) , squashed over it , could hold out water ???
Mabee tightly stuffing a piece of t shirt into the slice could hold out water to get home???
If it's a big split , I think your stuffed. Having said that , those canoes are pretty tough.
