I recently traded for a Bic Calypso and a North Sails Spectro 7.0 sail. It doesn't have a mast, but does have a boom. What size mast, and what other equipment do I need to get this thing in the water? I'm 6'3 and at 200lb so that does help either haha. Thanks!
It probably takes a 490 cm length mast. The sail usually has the LUFF, length and boom length printed on it, OR the sail bag or both.
If neither then measure the mast sleeve length top to bottom or vise versa , this gives the luff length. Say its 509cm, then a 490cm mast plus 19cm of mast extension, you will need a extension, goes inside they mast, has rope than goes through. Either a hole or pulley in the sail bottom. This attaches too the board with a mast base , need that.
Wetsuit, life jacket , FIN, of which a number of different bases exist.
FIN, mast extension, mast, bare minimum you need
