Hi everyone, i'm new here, this is my first post.
I am an intermediate and weigh around 200lb and i love longboards. I currently use an UltraCat but i am curious and interested in getting a shorter longboard from the late 90's, something like a Fanatic bee 317 or F2 Phoenix 320. These boards are around 185-195 volume compared to the Ultracat's 250. What are these boards like to ride compared with the Ultracat? I don't imagine they glide as well but what about planing? and what is the sail range for these boards?
Basically what i would like to know is if it's worth getting this type of board when i already have a longboard..
Thanks in advance for answers, looking forward to rewarding them.

i too am a heavyweight longboarder and have tried MANY longboards
have had the UltraCat and did not like the mastbase
now I have a Mistral Equipe 2 XR and it is here to stay
personally preferred the UltraCat and MEQ2 over say the Mistral Equipe I
others here and on other forums have gone to newer SB Phantoms and say they love it
you should be able to find their discussions elsewhere

Thanks for reply but I'm considering a shorter long board from the late 90,s. Would you know how these boards compare with the Cat or Equipe for a 200lb rider. Are they quicker on the plane but slower sub planing etc? Is there any point in getting one?
Thanks
