Just to reinforce the fact we live in one awesome country when it comes to wind and wave affected places....

I lived up that way for two years in 97,98. This particular spot has waves but it never gets bigger than head height only in cyclones.

I never saied it but had many a fun surf there.

I believe the channel in the photo is called shark alley......

I have seen the odd noahs ark there.......

Shark Alley is actually on the other side of the island which is hidden from view in this shot.
No doubt plenty of men in gray suits cruising about... but given its location any chance of a wave is worth taking.

We have checked it out in easterly breezes but the height and proximity of flying foam island rules it out for wavesailing in those wind directions (way to gusty)

Seabreeze should be a whole different ball game...
