public holidays are such this Easter that an extra long weekend could be on the cards, with a leave pass!
thinking NC
Is it windy late April?, from what I can research seems resonably good chance of wind then?
Hotels close to the sailing beach? Close enough to drag gear to?

This one has a deal on , and looks like it might be close?

Meridien is quite a walking distance from the sailing spot, and rooms don't have a kitchen.

best location where most aussies go is Hilton la promenade, really close to the spot and to bakeries !
yes still usualy windy around april, and warm !
be sure to book through aircalin to get the free sports extra luggage

To forget to bring vegemite or the locals might not be friendly !

You can sail straight from the beach at Le Meridian out to ...wherever really. Regular guests leave their gear in a room next to the water.

Some rooms have kitchens.

Not sure about wind in April. I think haircut said he went around that time and there was no wind. I went in September and the lagoon was a mirror.

Nonetheless I really want to go again. We loved the place. French Polynesia is super nice.

Air Calin will take your gear *for free*. Take it. The hire gear is **** and there's not much of it.

If you get wind, and have your own gear, it would be ...****ing perfect. There is a reason it's a windsurfing Mecca.

Yes but it's very tide dependant and overcrowded with kites ! We tend to leave them the spot + you'll easily loose a fin over there.

Thanks for that, there are some package deals with quite a bit of food in also.... meridian was one , but if it's too shallow will look at Hilton also, happy to get a few days sailing and a few days site seeing.

Can you bring vegimite out of the country , thought there would be food import issues / customs?

Vegemite is a crime against taste.
