Hi all,

I'm chasing a complete mast track assembly or more specifically the sliding base - I just need the parts to copy and build myself so a short term loan would be great - even if the parts are worn and not functioning I guess would be fine as I'll be able to make up a couple of spares once I get one made and working successfully. My pedal, track & rotating spine/lock appears to be working fine - just the sliding/rolling carriage part the UJ/foot connects to.

Someone in WA would be handy as I could just sit down for half hr with it and do a dimensional take-off without needing to borrow it!

Unfortunately the Equipe II system is not transferable.

Cheers!

Hi Adam, what colour is the pedal one you have. My equipe mark 1 has a later track system I believe. Black pedal., it also has the threaded insert to screw in a normal mast foot thread. Happy to help. I'm that nut with all the Windtec boards here in Vic. let me know how you go. Worse case I can take my track out and send it across.
Cheers Ant

Hi Ant,

If its anything like the one in my gallery images its not even close. Mine is not interchangeable like the Equipe I and II - completely different.

I think some of the Superlight ll's had a different track without the rope system.
also some were sold non-sliding and could be adapted to a sliding track later.

the photo in your gallery looks like a shorter version of the Equipe/OneDesign track.

Doug.

Yep Doug you are right - My Superlight has a pedal and track with a torsion spring loaded spine rotating 90deg to lock a slider/roller carriage into position. Its just the carriage that is missing. The vertical slot is about 9-10mm wide and would not be surp[rised of it was the same extrusion as one of their Alu fin box extrusions.

I've been looking at some plastics like Nylon, PTFE or PETP to engineer the slider from so I can keep everything existing as original. $15 for materials plus procurement would seem a no-brainer.

Decided on UHMWPE Polystone 7000 AST - Bought a 1000m length so if if anyone has a need I can lop you off a bit - good for making pedals and hinge components too

i had a similiar issue with my Mistral Equipe I
simply made a long piece of metal with one hole and slid into track sideways
it holds with the standard mast base bolt:

seems to be working
