I've got a Mistral Explosion II, in what I presume is DCS, that needs a repair. Is this epoxy or polyester for the matrix?

Not familiar with their construction and they made them over many years so it will vary in construction type - but very much doubt there was any polyester involved at all.

It will be an epoxy repair job ....... the only thing to consider is if it has a funny thin plastic shell over the outside and that may complicate things ever so slightly
Pics?

Yep, it does have the funny plastic coating and may actually be CHS rather than DHS. It looks to be chopped strand mat over the foam except along the edge where there's some kind of divinycell. It's about 50cms back from the nose so on a 288cm board, not that structural. I've cut away the cracked skin and feathered the edge ready for glassing as per photo.
