Hi, I am trying to source the bottom of a mast that fits into a Mistral Club board, I was unfortunate at the weekend in breaking my friends mast base that attaches to the board . Alternatively is there anything else I could do to make a modern base attachment fit this board. The board itself has 2 round holes that the mast just fits in one, the mast base just rotates by 90 degrees and locks in position by a locating pin ...The board is from the eighties era..Any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi Slasher. I have one of these boards and I had to make my own mast base for it. It is do-able with a little thought involved. I'll try to find it and explain how I did it.

Thanks, but how did you repair or modify yours?
I started from scratch as my board didn't come with one. Mine suits single pin mast extentions now. Why don't you put a photo of your base and I'll see if I can find my mine and post a pic as well. I'm interested to see what part is broken on yours. It may be a simple fix.
Hmmm. I wasn't expecting that. I can't beleive your mate is expecting you to fix a problem that was going to happen to anyone in time anyway. Why not just sail from the rear mastbase position for now. Apply plenty of glue to the front one and maybe a few stainless countersunk screws for strenght. But saying that I'm pretty cluey when it comes to retro fitting for this board. If I can make a mast base to suit this and fix the problem, we could just swap for the original base. What part of Australia are you living? I'm in SE Melbourne
The problem is, I feel so guilty about breaking his mast base for his board, he as had it for years..I live in Brisbane..But will give anything a go
Thanks
