Its a way off yet but i'm going to book either Maui or Oahu leaving new years eve. Two weeks for my honeymoon so somewhere nice.

Main thing is to be by the beach and walk out and sail without getting in a car, the misses is happy just to sit eat and watch the day pass by.

I'm not looking at waves just some free riding fun.

Any recommendations would be most welcome as this is a dream holiday so we want to get it right.

Cheers

That's either a contradiction in terms, or you're not leaving for a year.
Almost no good wind in Hawaii this time of year, really hit and miss.
Hawaiian summertime is the best for wind. How about a pre-wedding honeymoon (that would take some trust), or waiting 6 months after.

Hawaiian Summertime~
Maui, gotta rent a house on the north shore, Sprecs area, there are many. It's the only place that I know of (for what you're asking for) besides the west side at Sugar beach, it's flat but the winds aren't as consistent. So you may end up driving over to the north shore to sail Kanaha (next door to Sprecs).
If you're thinking about going during Maui's summer, odds are, the surf will probably be very small anyway, big in the winter (all sides of the island).
Oahu, slim pickens for what you want, in all categories.

Next year!!!

Thats a real bugger not having reliable wind and kind of makes it not worth it, the dates have to be new year so i guess i need to look else where and leave the dream for another day.

Just wanted to walk out and start sailing some rental gear.

Cheers for the feedback.
