Just got back from three glorious weeks in Maui with my mate Craig, and our families We stayed in a house on the beach on the North Shore and were able to sail every day but three in winds ranging from cruisy 6.3 weather to brutal 40 knots stuff where we got blown off the water on 5.2.

I got the GoPro out on my last day and have put together this quick clip which shows what conditions are like on the Maui "speed strip" through the breakers at Camp One. There is basically no swell on this day, but the wind is around 25-35 knots. The sail is a 5.2m North Warp and the board is a Tabou Manta 54.

This my first ever attempt and a video edit and most of it was done on the plane ride home.

The GPSTC session related to it is here;

Very nice, I miss Maui. I'm sure the water looks a lot smoother in the video!

Great editing, first rate really. The music is a bit punishing but that's just a taste thing.

Top job!

Hey Chris, I'm looking for a family friendly place -North Shore/Maui for next year. Do you recommend yours? Could you PM me with the details so I can look it up on the web. Any other information would be great. Much appreciated. Gary from Coffs Harbour.
