OK,
Is there some tip I am missing here..........I have a Neil Pryde Alpha which performs terrific, however when it comes to de-rigging I end up spending 5 mins swearing and wrestling with the sail and mast tip to get them separated. (The sail has a plastic plug which fits neatly into the mast tip). It's not good for my anger management issues. What's the secret please?
On every late model NP sail I have seen there is a loop of webbing at the top of the sail near the mast plug.
Push a screwdriver through this loop into the ground to secure the top of the sail.
This makes it easier to pull the mast out of the sail as the top of the sail is anchored.
Hi, Wannagybe,
Could you please advise what make of mast and its length that you are using with this sail? Could you also advise the size of the sail you are using, please?
Thanks for the help.
I will look getting another plug. Perhaps there was one in my sail bag that I didn't notice.
By the way it is a 2009 5.8 Alpha mounted on a 430cm RDM Simmer Mast. Works a treat even though its not a Neil Pryde mast.
