What NP mast carbon content do you need for use with a late model NP Evo? Also, can you use an aluminium extension with same? Just weekend recreational use on a formula board, not looking to win world race titles, but it needs to work.

Isn't the mast specified on the sail?
I use 100% mast with alloy extn all the time on all sails. Gonna look at the 85-90%mast when it's time to replace. A bit cheaper a bit softer a bit less fragile and I'm not racing.

Best mast for Evo is X9 for older sails and FX100 for late models. Race sails are very mast specific and all brands recommend their own high carbon content masts. Alloy extensions are fine but if you want weight savings then obviously carbon is better.
