Hardie brought this around the other day.

Talked me into finishing the job of turning it into a speed board.

Am I mad or a masochist?

Perhaps he's still mad about the nanobot incident?
Wasn't my fault really, I was just trying to save womankind from mass suicide.
It's all reli's fault for fiddling with the remote!!!

With the added advantage you can sail it forwards or backwards

Don't worry Elmo, I don't rate my chances of blasting past you, forwards or backwards. Unless perhaps the wind drops out and I'm still floating.

i think this secret is about as well kept as who may be shaping next years starboard tri fin. and which famous musicians tested them.
it may have been deleted but we all read it.

looks good. go on cut a bit more of the nose off. it's not doin anything.just making things more difficult.

i'll post photos of my version. it's funny heaps of guys around here have cut up their old slalom boards and or wave boards and made speed machines out of them.

Anybody knows who's the agent for coremat in WA. Thinking of giving that a try on these rails, Googled, but no luck.

I don't read GPS or Speed posts and from now on any posts by Beswift the tool having conversations with all his own schizo split personality selfs. Not impressed. Aussie slang will confuse his aussie selfs.
Sorry for the hijack got on bit of a roll.

i would try to avoid coremat. its heavy and not very good in compression.
If you want some coremat i know Brett at windrush has some or he will know where to go. Have you called Summit chemicals or FGI??

i would be tempted to try 3mm lantor soric instead. probably just as heavy at the end of the day but wicked in compression. you might have to test it out if you can wet lay it up coz it designed for infusion. you might be able to infuse the soric to wet it out on a flat plate then lay it onto the board and then bag it down. wether thats too much work or not you would have to decide. check youtube for some good infusion vids.

And no you dont need all that expensive gear thay mention in that vid to work well, just some stuff from the local reticulation shop.

Thanks Bertie,
Haven't called anybody yet, I'll see if Kaos can spare some first.

I've stayed away from coremat in the past because of the weight thing.
But this is going to be a high wind board, (advice is that weight isn't such a issue for high wind speed boards). And it's only going over the rails. The coremat is meant to make the job quick and easy, instead of vacuuming on herex, like I normally do.
So I don't want to introduce more complications like infusing at the moment, (although sometime I'd like to experiment a bit)
Guess the only place compression is a problem is under the foot pads, maybe a bit more carbon there to spread the load???
