After sending email re whereabouts they have entered another parcel movement, any ideas on what their coding means? CFMS ( Can't find Mother...... Sail) Anyone had experience with lost item claims? can't find any info on the process on their web page. I assume it's the sender that lodges the claim.

I think I had something go missing with them a few years ago, but in the end the person sending it did a poor job of labeling it, the label fell off, and it ended up sitting in one location, as they weren't sure whose it was.

Once I called them they seemed pretty good, so give that a try.

I've had a mast go missing turned up in outback Queensland 6 months later and a sail go missing that turned up a bit earlier 3 months later from the same company, they will process insurance claims just slow.

I know in the USA, some people are following UPS and FED EX trucks around and stealing the packages after they have been dropped off at people's doorsteps. This is a big problem now, even where I live it's going on.

Just had a similar problem shipping something from Perth to Brisbane. In a nuthsell the company is run by incompetent morons. In my case the shipment was scanned into the Sydney depot but never checkedout... or so I thought. After digging around we found out e-go is Hunter Express. Did a search through the tracking system on their web site and saw the package had left Sydney. So called the pickup point in Brisbane. Low and behold the package was sitting in the shop waiting for pickup. Meanwhile the clowns in Sydney were searching their warehouse for over 10 days but couldn't find it. The people in Brisbane never scanned in the box when it arrived hence there was never a notification sent to the either myself or the recipient.

In all this not a single person in the shipping company had the foresight to perhaps either call the driver or people in Brisbane to see if they had the package. Instead I was accused by them that there was no lable on package. Quite the contrary. The package had a shipping lable as well as additional lables with the sender and ricipient details just in case.As I said, they are a bunch of incompetent morons. The only reason they are still around is because they are cheap. As they say you get what you pay for ... or to be more precise sometimes you get what you pay for.

Touch wood, but I've never had an issue with Ego and have sent/received a fair bit of gear through them. Best part is their depot is only 2 minutes down the road from my house :)

Every time I drop an item at their depot I take a picture of the package before leaving. I found sometimes it could be a bit slack with the scanning, but never missed anything. I only use depot to depot. Also had a lot of stuff sent to me from several states and never any issues.

Mate it should still arrive, I wouldn't panic just yet. Have sent a heap of freight through Ego and have only ever had one thing not turn up and thats because the label fell off.

It does not necessarily stick with one carrier, so I'd say it arrived in Sydney 16/12 and was given to a different company for delivery.
I'd agree - call

Never had a problem with e-go also, but Transdirect OMG they are hopeless

I think the good news is it is on its way as it sounds like it has left Sydney and is in transit to SA/Adelaide.

I think you will find CFMS is :
Central Freight Management Services
Logistics in Kidman Park, South Australia
Address: 344 Findon Rd, Kidman Park SA 5025
Phone: (08) 8235 1023

I would expect you should receive it soon. You may follow up with e-go directly.
E-go are usually excellent provided items are well packaged.

The answer is in the thread title: Lost in Transit.

If the are using these piles of **** you'll never see your parcel.

Hey George thats a great idea, I've always been a bit concerned by just leaving it in the Depot "basket" without anybody scanning it in. Always have a sigh of relief after the first scan.
E-Go seem a bit slack with their scanning discipline, but I have used them quite extensively (send and receive) and so so far the results have always been good - although slow at times.

I have had quite a bit of stuff sent with e-go; mostly they have been excellent but just once they lost a whole board. No amount of chasing it up helped. My lesson ( too late in that case) is that if you use a credit card to buy new goods in many cases it's insured for such loss. Unfortunately doesn't apply to second hand goods. Anyway it may worth chasing that up if e-go don't locate it.

We tried Hunter Express for awhile at work to cut freight costs. I wouldn't recommend them. Happy to get your business but after that its a lottery.
A supplier is SA used them to ship 7 cartons of frozen fresh royal jelly plus the bosses seafood (prawns and lobbies) for Xmas. 2 cartons turned up on Wednesday with the other 5 promised for Thursday. By late Friday afternoon the dumb arses still couldn't find the goods. So now there are 5 very smelly cartons sitting in the corner of a depot in the too hard basket, glad Im not opening them up tomorrow!!!

What you gotta remember is "swift and shift" is not a comedy, its a documentary.
