This is the result of a collision I had with another windsurfer in NZ back in 1989. With, kites, speed sailors, free sailers and free stylers all sailing different lines, can we all look where we are going before we do anything.

I was out of the water for 8 months. Couldn't wait to get back. Still sailing but in WA now.
JP 747. That is one of the reasons I posted it. Don't think it will do much good but yah gotta try. It not just pointed at Kite surfers. We all need to take care.
Just to give you some idear I took an inch of the front of the other board and peeled the deck back. Hair & flesh imbedded in the board. The other bloke never sailed again ! While I was in hospital another guy came in after being speared in the stomach. He jibed and fell forward. His mate used him as a jibe bouy, he popes up in wast deep water and his mate runs into him.
cringy feeling still when i look at the pic.."bring home the bacon!"that's the worst i've seen so far deano pheww! i thought 6 stitches i saw in the head of a windsurfer on the gybe buoy when he fell down and got sliced by was bad already..glad your up and sailing..all my sailing life i've been to the hospital twice knock on wood and it was a fight with bacteria to an open wound and swollen eyes to a jellyfish not embedded flesh to a board
