Pierre Mortefon-PWA Slalom Champion 2019!

- nice shoes, never sow anything like that
- waist harness, not seat, that is good for me
-location on the wrist GPS on arm? interesting and also demonstrate that PWA use GPS even if don't post resulting tracks to public
--fanatic board, that what I have and love already
-Duotone sail -cant see fin unfortunately :(
-adjustable harness lines? look how close are together - unlike mine that are 20 cm apart-
-position of the boom, slightly below center ( like mine )
-Don't have floatable safety ? or hidden under white shirt?
the watch is a start watch so he can hit the line at zero at max speed. youll see the slalom guys doing test runs to the start against known points so they know when to put the hammer down and not jump tbe start.
same thing in course racing.
There is something on the harness , looks like pocket. what is this for ?

Hook bar straps?
According this pic, the best way to become a champion, is to not use your hands on the boom.
Apparently all you need to do is wait for your main rival to drag a sea snake around the course.
Jokes aside. Great win and a great event. Last Race of the Last Elimination of the last event of the year to decide
More Southern Hemisphere PWA slalom please!

I never use my hands on the boom, I am too busy gesticulating!

Mateo must be the unluckiest sailor of the last two or three years running! he will eventually win championship.
Can PWA come to Australia one day for racing? What will be the best place to invite PWA sailors? Gold Coast have definitely the best accomodation and infrastructure to host big events , but not much water to sail on.Unless somebody comes with fund to dredge sand of Broadwater than spectators would seat and watch events from all 360 angles.

I'd say the Whitsundays would be the obvious and ideal place, based at Hamilton Island. Plenty of wind, first class facilities and plenty of experience at successfully running world class events. I'd guess that not too many of the competitors have had the opportunity to see the Great Barrier Reef.
