This original of this video was posted on the World of Windsurf Facebook(and You Tube) page so I copied it and then slowed the gybe right down to have a good look.
Framerate wasn't that great so its not smoooooth slo mo but I have found it very helpful.
Shame you can't slow mo You Tube yet but it will come ..... Peter Volwater is in a Dutch GPSTC team

really interesting when you watch the board on freeze frame... absolutely no bounce - he has it carved so hard that there's no slap into the water at all

very Nice jibe, but he hardly got the harness line in the water.

noice

with my gybes, i always feel like the mast is always perpendicular to the board. if i lean the sail down towards the apex of the turn, the board tilts harder and the turn becomes sharper. but during this gybe, you see the board is at a really acute angle to the board during the lay-down part, and the board more or less tracks on the same angle thru the turn..

i have to give that a go, trying to maintain a steady carve when i go to lay the sail down. it explains why i always stall when i go for a lay-down, as i end up tilting the board waaaay to much.
