G'day,

It was recommended to me to use some silicon spray on my LT centreboard. Is this a good choice for the job?

Cheers & thanks,

I don't know about WD-40, might be a bit oily.

I started with Ronstan SailSmart and Harken McLube but I now use just a normal hand pump pack of the Armourall Original Protectant. The pump pack means it doesn't go everywhere and it's made for lubing rubber so I think it helps the gaskets last longer...

I have been using the armor all multi purpose cleaner. Works like a treat .

Spray centerboard and inside the gasket, then sail all day no worries

Its made by the same company, hence the branding. but its not WD-40, It's silicone spray. Same as the rest of them.

yep, it will do the job.

Have you done the gasket mod? How are you running your CB, permenant or removable? Have you packed out the CB case to hold the XB more firmly?
