I thought I'd post this in general section just to incite some envy from the other locations that have been getting a better run with the wind.

Looks like next Wednesdays forecast is going off the charts in Sydney with a 25-33 knot NE forecast going strong into the evening, let's hope it hangs in there. All that practice in the heavy conditions last Thursday (see avatar pic) will payoff.

This is starting to bring back memories of what Botany Bay NE's used to be like.

I'd better go and find some extra weights to hold down the buoy, might even add a few extra carbs (increase my quota of Coopers Green) to the diet to pack on some speed weight.

Thursday, Wednesday?? So the day of the race varies depending on the forecast? Great idea Des, why wasn't that thought of before?

Keef, pleased to say the charts have been predicting less than the actual wind. As of today I have sailed three fully powered 5.2m days in the last 6 days, and I suspect tomorrow will be the 4th, the forecast is even stronger. I'm hoping this is representative of the season to come. It's certainly nice to sail small for a change. My 80L slalom board is finally getting a good workout.

BTW, I consider the south coast as part of greater Sydney. , it's the other states I was referring to.

Ive noticed that if the charts for "Sydney" says 15 knots you can expect at least 20+ at Botany
