Got an 11 year old out on my old 121 iSonic with a2.5m2 Goya wave sail...He is a very good sailor in optis and other dinghies and just spent the week learning how to foil on a Nikki.
After a quick few land lessons, he jumped on, up-hauled and sailed away first try. The kayak was handy to direct him back upwind but after an hour or so he was starting to get the hang of heading upwind.

My 11 year old starting too. Getting them to turn around the hard part!
sail is a 5.1 with cams. Too heavy really. But he loves it.

Congratulations young surfer.
Well done guys, pretty tough convincing young folks it's a fun go to sport these days, hopefully foiling in its various forms has made it more appealing, anything to get them out on the water in some form, away from their phones...
This was my littly in 2006, bit early but hey...

Congratulations, future rippers in progress, love it :)
Those photos would be the only reason for me to even think about having a kid. Luckily i have a 1 yo male nephew (+1 on the way) who loves cold sea and wind gusts :)
Can't wait for that satisfaction you experience, seeing their huge smile on the water :)
