Reminds me of the sandbanks on the Gold Coast, but without jet-skis, tattoos, party boats with strippers, sharks.
You can get the sand banks to yourself on week-days. Flaaaaaaaaaaat water where you can trim everything to 100% efficiency. Gybing is a dream, a real pleasure.
I am in St Malo now and it's literally walking distance. I will try come here on Sunday, there is suppose to be some racing on. If you windguru jersey channel island it's got a good stack of wind the next.week where I am staying ![]()

It looks like you get large tides with associated strong currents. does this effect when you can sail?
Tide is indeed very important. Some of the bigest of Europe are just 200 km from St Malo in Rosckoff. You can also see the effect of tide in the area with the Mont Saint Michel !!!
The curent with this speed bank is not affecting the run but on the other side of the sanbank it is quite strong. You can play with Wind derection and strenght and the tide to make you plane easyer and faster or to put +2 knots on your GPS in some other places.
sorry for my English I dont use it very often but i'm very pleased when i do ;)
