A 5.8 Kult is probably the go in WA (assuming wave riding) or maybe a 5.7 Kaos???
I don't own any KA's but this is what i've picked up from this site (do a search/see reviews too), my net research for my future sails etc
...now someone answer my boom question (www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=40463)
I have an 08' 5.8 KA Kult and an older 8.5 KA Formula.
The Kult is what I started with and is fairly indestructible. It took a fair bit of punishment and has come out with only a few minor 'dents' where I slammed into the sail during a catapult.
I have only just got the formula and only had one real run with it . Seems to have a lot of low end grunt and I cant wait for it to warm up a little so I can give it a decent go.
While I like the KA sails, my favourite sail would have to be my 6.5 Severne NCX. Its a no cam sail that produces plenty of power and speed. It too has survived a few fairly rugged catapults lol.
yha I am using a severne 6.5 and love it. it feels so smooth and light
have seen a few KA sails around and like the look of them.![]()
Go the Kult 5.8. I have a Kaos 4.7 and a Kult 6.4 and love them. They are really well built, light in the hands when un-powered and have a great tuning range.
Hey Raggy , If you are Wave go Kaos , Wave/Bump and jump and like powerful sails go Kult and if you are Bump and Jump /Flatwater Blasting go Koyote it,s terrific .
Ya , Koyote for a no cam on the flat . Not quite as much low end as the Kult but quite acceptable but more stable and better top end . 7 tube battens as opposed to 5 rod battens .
