I'm obsessing over getting some gear as I'm a little frustrated that I have 6 brands for three sail mast combos ![]()
I've got a Futura 122L, I'm 80 Kgs, maybe add a 93L next season. I'd like to go fast but I'm only intermediate so I don't want full on race gear. Two sails I'm considering are the KA Koyote and Severne Overdrive. Can't find much info on the Koyote other than Spotti did 41k with one and Slowboats folks are happy with theirs. Anyone used one
Love to know if they would be a good no cam alternative to an overdrive. Be great to support a made in Australia product too but need some more feedback - mag reviews or first hand experiences would be great in either of the sails mentioned.
Thanks in advance for your sagely advice ![]()

Hi Paddymac I would also look at the Loft 02 sails until recently it was the fastest camless sail. Im very happy with mine.
see www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=35826 for more comments.
I've got a 2008 6.6m KA Koyote and absolutely love it.(It is now my most used sail) It is super easy to rig and has a large wind range. It is fast and easy to handle, waterstart etc.
I have worked out I dont need to de-rig down to my 5.8m Kult now as just add more down haul and can hold onto the 6.6m. Will have to rethink my quiver for next time as these sails have such a good range, I dont end up using the 5.8m Kult
Hi Paddymac , I have only used the 5.3 Koyote and it,s brilliant .
The biggest difference between the Koyote and Overdrive is the Overdrive has 3 cams . If you want cams then you may as well get the Koncept .
