Thumbs Up

I just purchased a 2015 JP Magic Ride 111 Pro Edition. The board is everything JP says and more in my opinion. The board is plenty fast with great control at high speeds. The 111 Pro is extremely lively and zippy and may I add a fantastic bump n jump board as well.

I weigh in at 175 lbs, 5 feet 11, and my rig consists of a 6.8 Goya power wave mono sail, 38 cm Maui K-one freeride fin. That setup works very well for me from about 12-16 knots of wind, then I downsize to a 34 cm MFC K -One Free Ride fin for my 6.0 Naish sail from 16-19 knots and then the 34 cm True Ames Teardrop fin or the MFC K-One Free Ride fin conditions permitting and my 5.3 North sail from 19-25 knots.

A little more about the Magic Ride, I do believe the Pro Edition should be geared towards advanced riders only. The board is too delicate for any skill level less than advanced. It scrapes and dents very easily and is way too lively for beginners or intermediates in my opinion. I have been windsurfing for 12 years now and I consider myself an advanced rider finally. It has taken me several years to get to this level and I am proud of it. I am very satisfied about getting this board. The board is phenomenal in my opinion in all regards and recommend it highly.I have not sailed the FWS or ES construction, so I can't speak for those models, but I don't believe the FWS and ES are as lively as the Pro Edition. One more thing, I did GPS the board with the Goya 6.8 sail at 16 knots of wind and I was pulling speeds of 28-29 mph. I would assume using the 6.0 and 5.3 sails with more wind will increase the speed of the board, guessing around early to mid 30 mph range.
