I know the forecast says there is, and I don't mean to sound cynical, but given the performance of the wind gods over the past week (did anyone get planing today?) I'm having serious doubts.
Saturday is looking awesome but...someone help me out here...I wanna go sailing!!!!
Tell me it's going to happen!
yeah i got planning today and so did a few others at peli but it was crap and the wind didnt get over 15kn, well if it did it wasnt for very long...
the green arrows are a mirage...every time you get to the day when its going to blow it disappears in front of your eyes.
its uncanny that the weather bureau can forcast the temp to within a couple of degrees quite well but have absolutely no idea when it comes to wind strength
from past experience when they forcast temps in the mid to high 30's you never get strong seo's![]()
ps if the wind does get up tomorrow then the river will not be the place to be with all the stink boats making there way to the sky show.....![]()
Yeah planned today with Decrep and Nebbs.
5.7m and 86L.
Got knee high waves with maybe a sneaky waist?
Beggers cant be choosers![]()
It's all true ![]()

Bit of slogging to get back upwind, and the waves weren't all that big, but hey it's a sail right?
Slogging sux
Would be awesome if the bloody BOM didnt forecast 18-23 or 20-25 so I didnt get my hopes up and plan to go sailing, if they forecasted a more realistic say 13 to 18 or even a 15 to 20... I would say, "hey, its not going to happen, will go drink some beer" Instead of this ridiculous torment.
Maybe laurie can artificially adjust the arrows and knock em down by like 5 knots, that way when its green, we know its truly worth heading to the beach.
And what is with wind on Oz day, when u dont want it, cos u are too drunk to appreciate it. (Anyone planning to take a windsurfer down to south perth?)
