I have a friend who wants to sell his 125 Tabou Bullit and the boom, mast and crossover sail.
I'm going to advise him re a courier etc.
I've sold lots of kit but always separately- a board or a sail or mast etc.
I'm good at packaging each separately but how do you lump it safely together so it survives a courier if someone buys the whole lot?
3 rolls of tape , an old doona or 2 blankets and lots and lots of cardboard . Extra cardboard on the ends , make that two .Then another layer of cardboard . Keeping it as tight as you can with the tape as you go . It's the total volume that costs , not the weight . ![]()
Ps, With a fat texta write sender and receiver details . Don't just rely on the con note . I lost a board that way ![]()
Courriers seem to be a lot fussier of how things are packed these days.
Last time I sent something they asked if it was in its original box otherwise they wouldn't take it.
I'd pack the board and rig separately too as if its too bulky then they won't accept it either. Gone are the days when people used a little force to pick something up.
