I must admit, pre-windsurfing I was on the water every minute I could - fishing...except when the cursed wind was too strong!![]()
Now, windless=fishing, windy=windsurfing...(& praying for wind more than not)
= alot happier![]()

It introduced me to some fantastic people....and some mind blowing locations.
it's got me in way over my head but I've come out of it battered, bruised, sunburnt but smiling.
As my mates got older and gave it away, it made me realise that I couldn't live without it and there'd never be a day when I wouldn't check the breeze...
1)windsurfing has definetly changed my lifei have recently gien up smoking bongs after 9 years because of it unfortunatly mixing with the wrong croud when i was young let me down a social disater path
2)windsurfing has taught me to be indipendant and that i dont need to hang around my friends who are into drugs to have fun i find it more fun heading down the beech by myself for a surf
i have ditch my bong smoking mates for the surf
3)it has taught me the effects of drinking and what it does. when i tried windsurfing i had no balance and i though to myself how bad is alchaol i cant ****tion properly when ive been drinking and im never drinking again it made the most simplest of balance difficiult juding by that i now understand why the police are so full on with drink driving DONT DRINK DRIVE
4)it has taught me how to sail and wind conditions not just a windsurfer but the basics wind direction tacking lufft etc
5)i also have lost a ****load of weight and got a tan and the chicks love me i look buff now \nOn/
WINDSURFING HAS MOST DEFINETLY IMPROVED MY LIFE.
Windsurfing has made me happy when i have a problem i just go for a sail and it all goes away.
Windsurfing has made me stronger.
Less fearfull of jaws.
Seen alot of beaches i would normally not see.
spent alot of money on fuel so i have made the indians happy.
I have driven a million k,s since taking up windsurfing driving to beaches.
Made alot of new freinds who are into windsurfing even a kitesurfer.
Where ever I've sailed I've made friends who are windsurfers. Most windsurfers are quite approachable and down to earth, and there is always a topic to discuss. Windsurfing allows you to get out and enjoy our great environment. Through windsurfing I bought a great van that is very versatile, can fit in my gear and three people or fit in seven people.
My wife is now learning to windsurf. Through a recent (non windsurfing) back injury I have not been able to go windsurfing. My wife is now complaining that she can't go either. So now I'm on the road to recovery we may go sailing this weekend.
Every time I go windsurfing my back feels better for it. I believe the stance and muscles used when windsurfing helps develop better posture, at least on the windsurfer. The movements in windsurfing seem to make the back feel more flexible and limber.
The GPS Challenge has given me some goals both off and on the water. One off water goal was to help develop a viable team, which we are well on the way to achieving. On water goals are of course to go faster and further. To this I have to improve my general fitness and ability. Not bad goals as I get older.
another main point is what moby is getting at and that is the ability to set goals and achieve them not get frustrated and not giving up
patience
strength of charactor
anger management
health and wellbeing
infact the list of advantages are allmost endless
awesome video

this is what its about. Travelling all over the place to the well known spots to the remote spots and just spending hours out on the water doing what you love.![]()
