I just got back into this after a 20+ years break. Went out and bought a good deal quiver with a Starboard Kode 122l, hybrid boom, 3X sails, 2x mast. And had no idea where to put it all! ![]()
We have a small shed then is full of bikes (pedal & motor) whcih would not fit the board lenghtwise. So I came up with the brilliant idea of sticking it all on the roof with straps diagonally.
Here's the result ![]()
Nice - no building stuff.
But - make sure vent plug is undone ... it will get mega hot in summer, and maybe board upside down and bag unzipped a bit won't hurt also
yes, windsurf gear is large
need to store it, carry it and travel with it
as mark says - keep vent plug open
for me a big deal is accessibility
this means how quickly can i get the stuff out/in before/after a session
also too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter to keep stuff in shed for me
i keep it in the garage on top of the off-season tires or hanging up high
the longboard stays outside = too long for anywhere except country basement or outside
maybe one day the inflatables will be high performance ?? ![]()
Hanging a board with fin down supported on the ends in a hot shed will either provide u with a banana board or a much increased rocker curve on the board
I would find another way to store that. My view is it's too hot up there. I woulod be concerned about heat affecting board and sails.
