Righto it's blowvember the start of the season' just a heads up to remember your sun protection' days on the water in the sun and wind take their toll' cover up ' look a c##t who care's I've had some lumps off me and treatment this year through exposure to the elements ' not nice or pretty on the eye' cover up and enjoy the season
Thanks cauncy great advice, also remember the eyes, I've had a couple of pterygiums removed and it's not all that pleasant. Good UV protect sunglasses are a must for me now.
Especially for the nude-nuts. Hats on or your skin doctor will have you looking like the surface of the moon in no time.
Thanks cauncy,
Great advice and need to follow up with proper skin checkups.
Yes decrepit I know I have the dinosaur growth on my eyes that will need removal soon.
Recently went to a year 10 further so reminder to all to make the most of life with family, friends and activities ![]()

I have poor long site, I'm wearing bifocal prescription sunnies. I tried the Seabreeze ones, and they are great, but where the strap joins on is very thin, and 2 pairs broke there.

I don't think seabreeze sell sunnies anymore.

Anything polarised. They make the water look nice, show up the gusts, and block all the UV. I got two pairs for $20 at the local chemist.
I'm one of those that wears my sunnies sometimes, when I can find them or the other pair when the MP3 player is charged but quite often don't bother. I like a nice polarized pair and helps me to see much better, especially when there are potential hazards below the surface. But, I'm still not convinced. Maybe Imax1 has the best option, just squinting? So my worry is this, when I'm squinting and not using my sunnies, if you took a quick look at my eyes you'd see a microdot sized tiny pupil and my eyes doing the best they can to block out the 'bad stuff', lids only open a slit.On the other hand, when I have my dark sunnies on and you whip them off quickly my pupils will be widely dilated. So my concern is this, is wearing sun glasses potentially damaging my eyes worse buy making my eyes think it is safe, but if the glasses don't block all the harmful rays, then my dilated pupils and wide open eyes will actually receive a worse dose?Even thought maybe I should be wearing clear glasses with a UV filter and some polarization.I need more wind and less time to thing about stuff like this.
Ive often wondered that .
There is a part of your eyes that triggers the amount of melanin that your body produces .
If you block it with sunglasses are u more likely to burn ?

I think the cancer council of Australia took this into account when looking at sunglasses. They rate poorly the style that are open on the sides that let in might when the pupil thinks its darker due to the lense.
The CCA sunnies tend to be wrap-around to try and prevent this.
