There is currently a draft plan from council who will be taking over management of Jimmys beach caravan park at Hawks Nest. This plan indicates intentions to block off access to the grass area at Jimmys beach used by windsurfers to park their cars and set up to allow council service vehicles only for tending to the overhauled and updated area. ie- new BBQ stands, lighting.
So what if a goanna runs above ones head in the trees while packing up in the dark. Or if one has to step his bear feet into sloshy grass after rain, or if people have to use their own judgment in determining where to position their car for parking. Whoever gets there first will get the best spot closest to the beach access, under the shade of massive old paper bark trees and parked on nice green grass.
Sound like a great spot to me, it is, just fine, how it is right now.
