Last week a few of the gun speed sailors from our local club (Mid Coast Marauders) asked me to come check out Harrington in Northern NSW. Well, I ain't no speed sailor, but I had a ball. It's so flat (once the tide dropped) with super clean wind straight off the local beach. There's not too many true flat water spots here on the NSW North Coast, so Harrington is real gem for those hunting super flat water. Enjoy![]()
Holy cow Phil that gybe nearly had you IN the rock wall !!!!!!!!
Nice footage. You did awesome for your first sail there - and it gets better, the tide was pretty rubbish that day. Well done

Ah yes. Mid-gybe I looked through the cloudy sail and seen rocks fast approaching. Was time to tighten the turn!
Great place Adam. You guys killed it.
Catch ya.
Had a little grovel there on the way back from Burrum with Mark. Wasn't very keen on the rock wall or the oysters that you had to get through just to get wet. A bit spoilt we are down south
. Loved the dolphins and the sea eagles though and could see the potential of the place.
I take my 4WD around through Harrington beach and park at the end of the strip next to the breakwall. It's still about a 100 metre slog through that soggy sand but it's worth it. My car is a POS so it's no problem but I wouldn't advise it with a nice vehicle as it will get thoroughly shot blasted by the end of the day. The strip is a bit shorter than it used to be but it's still a great spot.
Kato I'll see your dolphins and see eagles and raise you some whales and a manta ray.
Nice video phil your going so well , wont be long and more pbs will come for sure , looking forward to the next session at harrys
