Had a Blast on the windski a few days ago. Winds were out of the west from 10-15 mph and was on a 5.3 sail. More wind and snow scheduled! Here is a short clip of the session.

This was an epic session last Friday. Snow was just perfect texture and wind was 10-12 mph. 15-25 mph winds scheduled this Sunday. Looking forward to it!

Hey Magic, how do they go up hill? I'd guess side slip would be an issue? Are you just looking for fields?

Edit: I should add I haven't seen negative C temperatures since 1998 so it's a pretty new concept to me ;)

Flat areas with wind is the best. There is another place that's close to me that has a couple soccer fields clumped together with a hill separating them
I go up and down both hills. When I go down it, I like to hit it in an angle, feels like I'm surfing down a still wave. When I come back up, I hit it straight on with lots of speed to make it back up to the top. It's loads of fun. I have 2 skegs available, one longer one for deeper snow and a short one for shallow snow. The skegs work great for carving in the snow.

That's epic. Looks dangerous, is it dangerous Magic? Have you had injuries?

This looks fun. Don't you get tired without harness? Why not use?

It's a blast! Delivers similar feeling to regular windsurfing. I've fallen many times, including catapults. I do wear a harness and was hooked in most of the day. My stance was more over the ski when hooked in so I wouldn't spin out from the surface being so slick. Got the Helmet on as well. Knock on wood, no injuries yet. The snow was pretty packed down in the most recent video and bumpy from the snow mobiles roughing it up.
