For winds circa 15 knots I use my 7m KA Kruiser.... but find so much more power in a cammed sail at 7.5m.
Umming and rrring if I should consider a 7.5 cammed purchase, or maybe a 7.7 or 8m?
Perhaps with better technique the 7m will be enough???? or will it.....

K-dog, glad to hear you picked up the Sting. Nice board!
You might find that you can get more low end, lighter wind improvement by replacing the stock fin with something a bit more upright and slalomy. I picked up a slightly larger Select RS7 for my Sting 134 and it made a huge difference compared to the stock fin when the wind gets light.
In terms of sails, the 124 could easily handle an 8 (with a slightly bigger fin). My 134 is comfortable with a 9 and can do a 10 OK.

Using my 6.5 Gator I was dropping off the plane so I changed to a 6.5 Overdrive that I had pre-rigged and was planing full time.
6.5 seems to be the sweet sail for my weight on a Futura 111.
I would guess that a 7 cammed sail should fit the bill on the 124 Sting.
I find that most cammed sails are less powerfull than no-cam. I got both cammed and no-cam sails. When i can plane with a 8m cam, i can also get my 7m no-cam planing. However the cam sail will keep the planing for a lot longer. So it really depends on how steady the wind is. If really unsteady, so you are bound to drop of the plane a no-cam is lighter and won't get you as tired when pumping.
You'll get more range out of a cammed sail in most cases, so I would go atleast a metre up in size.
I currently go from a 6.2 raf sail to a 7.8m cammed, no problems with that jump. The 7.8 works from 12-20kts and even more if your game to hold on.
Kdog, Talking specifically KA, a 7.5 Koncept will have noticably better low end than the 7.0 Kruze you have now. The Kruze has good power but needs to be worked harder(pumped) to get get it planing. The Koncept has a lot of shape/depth in the lower half of the sail being optimised for downwind speed sailing and this gives the sail a great deal of pull. It is still nice and light and user freindly though as opposed to a full blown Slalom Race sail, I wouldn't go there, and is really easy to pump.
Your board will handle a larger sail than 7.5 but the jump to an 8.5 Koncept may be too big for you???
Severne Overdrive and Loft Switchblade would be two other possible alternatives that come to mind.
Anyway, to answer the original question, in the KA range a 7.5 cammed Koncept,will definitely have better low end than your 7.0 Kruze and certainly don't be scared off by it,s Race breeding, it is a really easy, user freindly sail..
