PS/ How far away is the Geraldton Offshore BOM station away from Geraldton town BOM station ?
It says in the paper this morning cyclone Seroja has 'decimated' the mid west coast.
Made me wonder that if the wind had hit in knots and not km/hr would it have been imperialised rather than decimated ?

Decimated literally means that 10% was destroyed. Is this the case or media hyperbole?

I thought it meant 10% was left, 90% destroyed
