Thumbs Up

Hi all,
I have brought this post over from the wave sailing forum for better exposure. If interested have a look at the post.
A school k-12 in Mullumbimby showed some interest in starting a windsurfing program for class 5-6 and possibly carrying through as a high school sport elective. I had a bit of learner gear for my kids. I asked a couple of other sailors, and we ended up with just enough gear (borrowed or donated) to get 30 class 6 kids up and going (and loving it) over a 4 day camp near Brooms Head.
A huge thanks to Greg at Coorabell, and Lake Ainsworth donation gear, and Matt S for his support.
The school now owns 1xOne Design, 1xbig, light wave board 95ltrs with fcs fin for dagger board. We may be able to keep another glass wave board with fcs fin addef for centre board and another One Design. For rigs I cut down and re-sewed 3 sails, an Aquaglide rig, and a great little rig from Matt S.
The school will be fundraising over the next year to get some up to date gear, but until then, they really need alot more gear to deliver a decent program for the next 12 months, atleast 3 more camps and weekly sport.
The majority of students using the gear for now are 30-50kgs, so big wave, slalom boards, sups are great ( we can add fcs plugs for dagger fins), and ofcourse any boards with retractable centrboards.
They need light masts and booms and bases, kids sails, or sails to cut down.
Loaning the school some gear for 12 months would be fantastic. Any gear loaned will return to you watertight, but perhaps with a few repairs.
Thanks to the guys on the wavesailing forum that have offered stuff.
Please post here or contact me on my mobile 0402686241. Cheers, Mike
