Anyone have any idea what brands/amount/equipment is sold at:
Both these on the Mid North Coast, NSW

-Jordans Boating Centre in Port Macquarie www.jordans.com.au/

-Coastal Curves at Nambucca www.coastalcurves.com/

Want to go check out the local stores and drool over the gear and know whats being sold locally to plan the quiver, without driving from Coffs to find nothing to check out

Would email them, but have before without too much luck. Would call but prefer not to be sucked into pre-ordering something etc!

I might be wrong but I don't think they actually stock anything - The're more of an "order through us" type shops.

Coastal Curves is as Davman suggests, an order in place. I ordered some Sailworks Revos from there about 10 years ago. Still have them and they are still in good condition.

Jordans have stock but I haven't been there for a long time so am not sure what they have. Best to ring or email. They are pretty good to deal with.

I was in your situation, no windsurfing places on the mid north coast of NSW. I did a couple of things. This was in the days before the Internet and everything that goes with it. I'd ring shops in Newcastle and the Central Coast and travel down there to buy some gear. The other thing I did was ring shops and get them to freight stuff up to me by bus.

I bought the sails off Coastal Curves as I sometimes sailed with I think it was Richard Ellis. I bought them for my trip to WA and used them a lot over there but not much over here.

Richard from Coastal Curves will look after you, otherwise just head up to the goldy for a weekend (4 hours drive each way) buy some kit and sail with the crew up here.

Cheers for the tips all

Yeah thought that the scene was too small for alot of gear at the stores

Does ordering thru a store (without gear on floor) cost more then buying gear at a stocked up store?

aus301 - will definately take up that offer, maybe over this Summer (if i stock up on the funds!) i'll cya's up GC
