After comments on whether a Gaastra Pilot 7.5 (2007) will rig up alright on a North Sting 490 50% Carbon mast? Anyone done anything similar??

You'll find the top will be really loose and the sail will lack power (also it just looks wrong). I used a fiberspar mast on my Maui sail (same rigging as gaastra) and it wasnt until i snapped my mast and bought a gaastra mast that i realized just how different it would feel, the extra down low grunt was amazing. So ideally a gaastra or maui mast for you my friend.
