GPS GT11 Battery

For any of you out there that have a GT11 and the battery is stuffed I managed to find a cheap replacement battery instead of having to buy a whole new GPS unit.

An Ipod 3rd Generation Battery does the job, cost around $20

You just need to unclip the wires on the plug of the battery and reuse your plug on the existing battery...

cheers mate, useful to know in case this happens to me. i have a GT-11 and managed to get my dad a brand new GT-11 for his christmas (stop him flogging mine, also get a full session for once).

but shhhh lol.

Nice one.

Info would be good to go on the GPS Challenge FAQ as there is a fair chance there will be more than a few GPS sailors whose GT11ses batteries die over the next few years. Maybe having the info plus step by step photos would be good.

Bubs, thats a top present. Your dad and you need two GPSes. have a great season in 2009!
