By the amount of reads it looks like 117 people left thier boom at Melville

No so. The Hydrodynamix boom I bought in 1995 is still going strong. The clips are a bit crap but they were not the best when the boom was new compared to the Chinook system.

Yeah don't knock older gear it's what I use and I find it very durable by today's standards.

Hey, no need to bite - I also owned a hydro (pro alloy) boom and rate it very well (not the most polished boom, but very tough!). The comment was purely a bit of fun knowing that Paul and Hydrodynamix are same.

No,.. we all just read it in case it's a boom that we might like to have.

Oh yes,. I remember losing one just like it. What colour was it? That's exactly the colour I had in mind.
