Thumbs Up

Hi all
I just wanted to share a great experience with you. We recently went on holidays to Fiji, which I had always thought inaccessibly expensive for the average person. However, with the Aussie dollar strong as it is and the annual lull in the down season, the whole thing was a lot more affordable. We stayed at a place called Safarilodge in N.E. Fiji, which was great. they had all the latest gear for wind and kite surfing and the place was a great mix between casual surfing attitude and minimum standards of luxury (I'm not 18 anymore and need some comfort these days...) plus we have a 1.5 year old who was really pampered by the local fijian staff! My wife had daily massages and pedicure, I went surfing or snorkling on low wind days, the water was warm (i bet 25 C at least), the island was beautiful and quiet, NO cars and no motor boats going past all day (like in Thailand).
It was awesome and i got hooked on a sport from my teenage years again! I am now looking for buddies to go surfing in the bay here in Melbourne.
