Hey ya'll

I got a question for you!

I am riding a Mistral Syncro '07 92ltr board! on Port Phillip Bay aka BUMP AND JUMP!

It comes with the stock mistral fin 27cm.

And

Sometimes/mostly i use an OLD SCHOOL 1995 Wave Fin with it that is 23cm.

Anyway, this fin is just getting to old and slow!

What are some good makes and brands out there, that will keep me going super fast, but still being agile enough to make quick turns.

and also, what size do you recommend!

Thanks guys and gals!

Steve

these are great and not bad value, I have a 30cm for my 105 kombat and just ordrered a 28cm for my 94 exocet cross, free post too.
Goes fast, gybes great and just really feels nice, b&j conditions. thats about as technical as I get.
you probably want 25 or 28 or both depending on the breeze. If you mainly sail in lots of wind 20knts plus, 25cm probably the go that is if you are going all right on that 23cm.

Next you will be asking what type of GPS to buy

I have a Select brand FSW that works well on the 83L evo fast but still nice to gybe

Flacky,
I've got a great 23" Maui North Shore freestyle fin. It's pretty new and is a Power Box (which i think is what your Synchro takes)
You are welcome to try it. Drop me a bell sometime.

just jokes,

a freestyle fin is fast off the mark, has limited top end and doesn't turn as well as a wave fin.

i like the mfc freetyle wave fins too. they are an excellent allround fin. they are faster than most ewave fins on the market.

enter the mfc g10 wave fins in 2008. definately faster, definately stronger, hmm think i need some now too.

I think for our conditions on Port Phillip bay it wouldn't matter if it was a FS, FS/wave or a designated wave fin, cos we don't get the classic "down the line" wave conditions. Ours is usually side on shore, wind generated waves.
