How far north are you planning on going or is Airlie it? I recall a thread that had all the spots between Burrum and Cairns (am on phone atm so will do a search later). You should pop into Yeppoon on your way home although we're camping next week at Agnes Water so won't be back till Saturday week.

Nice to meet you too.

Wait for a good SE'ly and get a day trip to Whitehaven beach from Airlie. The tidal flats at the north end are awesome to sail in a high tide.

Check the Bowen wind by looking at the Hamilton Island observations and then knock a couple of knots off it. Bowen is best at front beach in the mornings like 0800- 1100 while SE then in the arvos the wind can swing a little to the east or NE then head over to either Kings beach or Queens beach and it all depends on how the wet season has changed the sand spits but the mouth of the Don river can have some very good flat water but needs a bit of North in it to work. Great to meet you and thanks for the speed talk.

Ok, I finely got to use a small sail in Queensland .Sort of??? Managed a quick sail at Queens beach in a dying breeze with the 7.5.I also che led out Kings beach but not enough shade for the fam. Good fun, more wind today so its Dingo beach direction or Shute harbour .thanks for all the tips

Kato

The high in the Coral Sea is ridgeing up the Qld coast, bringing 20+SE from Brisbane to Cairns over the next 2 days so you should properly break your drought.

Taylors beach

Sorry Kato, geography isn't my strong point, but I think this may be further north than you are going,

I didn't see this until we came in, a bit further down from where we launched.

Windy yesterday but I couldn't find anywhere to launch.gee we re spoiled in Vic.Shute harbour looked good but I would have to launch between the big off shore cats and they had a 6 kt speed limit on the water. Looking at Conways beach or Midge point for today as I have to find a fun place for the fam as well.

I surrender, I had a look at Midge point, which looked good except the tide was out and the wind was 20kt on the land and 10 kts on the sea.Just not worth rigging up for a slog.I m amazed that anyone windsurfs in Queensland as I don't think that I would .Headed south over the next few days to the glitter city to play on roller coasters for a few days and just maybe some windsurfing

Kato I was just down in Victoria, no wind, bloody cold and gear left on car roof, looks like we both should have stayed home

One day try Green Island, Arlington Reef or a boat trip to Michaelmas Cay with Cam, forecast for Cairns this week
